I started my career in 1985 in Retail Management before joining the Police Service in 1997 as a Communications Operator.
In 2003 I progressed into the Police Training Department as an ICT Trainer, delivering classroom based software application training, achieving a number of training qualifications along the way. A promotion in 2007 led me into e-learning design and development as the e-Learning Developer and then a further promotion later as the Learning Technologies Manager, in charge of 5 who made up the Learning Technologies Team. We introduced e-learning and online learning solutions as well as running live online training sessions using Adobe Connect. I also achieved the Certified Online Learning Facilitator (COLF) through the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI).
With a passion to work for myself and run my own business, in January 2017 I took the decision to start my own business as a Freelance Digital Learning Developer. Since going freelance I have worked with a number of e-learning design agencies as well as large and small businesses from both the UK and around the globe inlcuding USA, France and Australia. I’ve helped develop many different digital learning projects, covering a wide area of subjects for some big name clients and household names including the likes of Shell, Multiplex and L’Oréal.
I love the variety and freedom freelancing gives me, working with a vast range of clients and topics. I take pride in doing a good job and this is evident in the feedback I receive from my valued clients. I am constantly learning new skills and keeping up with the ever changing world of digital learning.
